  • How do I take care of my Pelhuaz’ jewelry?

    The piece that you have bought is a handmade item, made with much love, and in that way, you should take care of it in order to prolong the fabulous stage in which you received it.

    Here few pointers to follow:
    • Use a soft cotton cloth to polish your beaded jewels. A coarse cloth may scratch glass, pearls, crystals and some metal beads.

    • It is a good practice to wipe body oils, makeup and hair spray from jewelry after each wearing.

    • Put jewelry on after bathing, applying body lotions, perfume and hair spray to avoid build up and damage from ingredients used in beauty products.

    • Store your jewelry in a dry, compartmentalized jewelry box or container to avoid dry rot and tarnish.

    • Use extra special care when cleaning color enhanced or delicate natural beads including turquoise, red coral, bone, and pearls.

  • Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

    We sure do! However, the shipping charges might be a slightly different. Please, contact us before placing your order to make sure that the rates are accurate!

  • How long will it take to receive my order?

    I ship domestic orders within 3 to 4 (apparel orders could take up to 7 days) business days via USPS first class. Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. Most of the time, I ship all orders within 2-3 days of purchase date, for you to receive your order about one week from the date of purchase. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks, depending on weight, on location and efficiency of postal service.

  • How can I make a custom order?

    INDIE JEWELRY 
    As simple as sending me an email at through our Contact Page with your request. I’ll be contacting you in order to validate all your requesting details. This type of orders takes a little longer to process – 5 to 7 days depending on your specific request.

    APPAREL DESIGNS 
    It takes about 2-7 business days to create your new apparel products. Then you should add shipping times on top of that. We use USPS Priority Mail. Notice that the 97.66% of our orders are shipped within 5 business days. More than a half of our orders are shipped within 3 business days or less.

  • What are this store’s return and exchange policy?

    Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we’ll take all the necessary precautions to avoid the need for exchange or return.

    INDIE JEWELRY ORDERS: 
    Be advised that all orders will be sent using USPS within 3 to 4 working days from the date of the receipt of payment. Once the order is shipped, you will receive an email notification with all the details.

    Buyers can return items within seven (7) days of receiving their order. To return an item, please contact us first for additional instructions and validation (pelhuaz@icloud.com). Buyers must pay the return postage and packaging costs on items returned.

    All items must be returned in perfect a condition, that is without any signs of wear. We ask therefore attention to the items, to try not to damage it, and be mindful of related damages…

    Following the receipt of the returned goods -which fulfill the conditions above; Pelhuaz will proceed to the refund or exchange of the items.

  • There’s a story behind the store name Pelhuaz?

    Pelhuaz name came from a combination of thing. My nickname, my initial, and an “h” that in Spanish doesn’t make a sound but it looks good in the middle of a word.

    I’m a curly hair Gal. As a kid, my Mom always tried to control my unruly hair and to be honest was always a painful experience. When I got to the age to take care of my own hair, I gave up on brushes and live my life free! Since then I’m “La Pelua”. Pelua is the Spanish word for tangled. Do you remember Merida from Brave? Well, just like that.

    Pelua meant a lot to me and almost define me, so why not use it? My name is Zeide, so I needed to add that also in, and when I put it together as a Peluaz it didn’t say much to me… I kept playing with the letters and ended up with Pelhuaz… Now I like it.

    So that’s the story behind the name.

    Hola, I’m Zei, the designer behind Pelhuaz!

    I initiated this venture back in April of 2013 when I decided that making jewelry just for my daughters and me wasn’t enough. All started when my closest friends asked me for pretty things for them to wear, and today Pelhuaz it’s –what I wanted to think of, a business (small… but it’s a business) that creates and offer unique but simple jewelry.

    Life is too short to wear boring jewelry…

    If you purchase from Pelhuaz, you will be helping to buy from a Stay at Home Mom, and a Small Business at the same time! Isn’t that something to feel awesomely good about? Pelhuaz jewelry is handmade assembled in Caguas, Puerto Rico using only strong links, durable, and long-lasting findings.

    We do our part to keep our planet clean…

    As an Earth-Friendly note the jewelry I create is made from non-toxic, and nickel-free materials, shipped to you in a recycled packaging. Most of our shipping materials are made from recycled food boxes or repurposed envelopes. That’s our special way to contribute to our planet, by reducing landfill waste.

  • How do I pay for my order? Is it secure?

    Pelhuaz uses PayPal to process all their orders, one of the most trusted online payment solutions on the web. Because of this, we have all the same securities and payment fraud protection as this leading payment processor. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. As paying with PayPal, you may also make payments using your bank account, but this may delay your order, due to processing acceptance.
